Bushnell scopes
come in all shapes and sizes for different uses
Bushnell has a wide range of optical products to
choose from including Bushnell scopes, binoculars,
telescopes, monoculars and more. This article will
focus on the Bushnell scope collection. There are
many different types of scopes to choose from
including the popular riflescope, spotting scope,
Legend, Trophy scope, Banner scope, Pistol,
Sportview, Red Dot, Spacemaster, hand gun &
Bushnell shotgun
scope and many more. Before we begin a few
definitions are in order below:
Rifle scope –
A device used to give an accurate point of aim for a
firearm. Other sighting systems are iron sights, red
dot sights, and laser rifle sights.
Spotting scope –
A small telescope, always a refractor or
catadioptric generally used for terrestrial viewing.
Of limited utility for astronomy, though many are
marketed as such. Can be used for bird watching,
golf or as a powerful telephoto lens on a SLR
camera.
Night Vision scope – similar to the above scopes but
has the ability to see in the dark. This vision
works on one of two principles. First is by
detecting infrared radiation, which is a form of
energy emitted by all objects regardless of the
ambient light conditions. Secondly, by intensifying
the small amount of light present even at night,
from the stars and the moon.
Upon reading various consumer review and rating
websites, I came across a few Bushnell sport optics
and scopes including the Elite 3200 & 4200, Sentry,
Rimfire, H2o and Sharpshooter to mention a few. All
had pro’s and con’s to each, depending on the
activity and person.
A
Bushnell sport optic worth mentioning is the Elite
4200 series as people have boasted that it’s one of
the brightest and best scopes they’ve ever used.
Features include multi-coated lenses with 95% light
transmission at 550nm, hydrophobic Rainguard® lens
coating disperses condensation into microscopic
specks, 100% waterproof, fog proof, shockproof
construction, dry-nitrogen filled, ultra-strong
one-piece tube is hammer-forged from an aluminum and
titanium alloy for 30% more strength than standard
aluminum scopes. Finally, this Bushnell scope's
rugged design is recoil tested to 10,000 rounds of a
.375 H&H magnum, making it great for the serious
hunter.
